Water Wombats is a registered allied health charity dedicated to empowering families through innovative aquatic therapy and inclusive learn-to-swim programs. Beyond the water, we offer a holistic suite of wellness-based services—including drama therapy, counselling, and Paediatric Autism Communication Therapy (PACT) —designed to support the wellbeing of the whole family.

Our Aquatic therapies offer safe, sensory-aware environments that nurture confidence, holistic wellbeing, and trust. Designed for children, young people, and families, our approach is trauma-informed, inclusive, and empowering—supporting every body to feel calm, connected, and strong.

Beyond the pool, our Wellness based services —including drama therapy, counselling, and Paediatric Autism Communication Therapy (PACT) —provide meaningful opportunities for connection, expression, and growth for children, young people and their families.

How Can I Access The Services?

We’re delighted to support using self-managed or plan-managed NDIS funding, as well as those with private funding.

At this time, we are not able to accept agency-managed NDIS plans.

Veteran Aquatic Therapy Programs

Funded by the ACT Government, Water Wombats is thrilled to announce the launch of our Veteran Aquatic Therapy Program. Starting Term 2, a dedicated program designed to enhance physical health, mental wellbeing and social connection for veterans.
